a traveller rests

parents’ quarrel . . .
through the glass-bottomed boat
another world

poppy garden . . .
in and out of the flowers
the child’s red cap

storm brewing
our cat sphinxed out
on the porch rail

first summer rain —
the flower vendor
lingers on the porch
